Here at hedwigs we are fairly quiet at the moment, we currently have 7 hedgehogs inside, a couple are almost ready to go home and the rest are very poorly 😔
In our soft release pens outside we have 4 who are deciding that they still need to be hibernating as they are too lazy to get up😭 We haven't been this low on numbers for a while so we are absolutely making the most of it until the babies come in. We will be exhausted then, babies need feeding every 2 hours and they don't care if you are feeding at 12am, 2am, 4am, 6am then going to work and someone else has to do the day shift😂 This is where the food for the babies will be needed, they have to have specialist formula, royal canin puppy starter mousse and royal canin mother and baby cat biscuits (expensive tastes these little ones) We get our specialist foods from zoo plus so if anyone would like to buy some that would be amazing, we went through so much last year we had to put out an urgent plea so if we have it already in place it's one less thing for my exhausted brain to worry about 😊
